New Cover Reveal: Welcome to the Mana Empire
I'm excited to finally share the first covers for my newest series, Mana Empire.
For the past several months, I've been building a new urban fantasy world from the ground up. A world where magic isn't mysterious or hidden away in forgotten ruins.
It's infrastructure.
It's industry.
It's business.
It's the economy itself.
The first four books in the series are now taking shape:
- Mana Intern
- Mana Contract
- Mana Rival
- Mana Sabotage
Together they tell the beginning of Renn's journey into one of the most powerful corporate empires in the world.
A World Where People Power Civilization
The city of Dray is powered by human mana.
The poor surrender it to survive.
The powerful control the companies that sell it back to them.
Every light.
Every message.
Every payment.
Every machine.
Everything depends on energy extracted from human beings.
Mana isn't simply magic.
It has become infrastructure, currency, and the foundation of an economy that can never consume enough.
That single idea became the starting point for the entire series.
One Intern. One Impossible Climb.
Renn arrives in Dray with no connections, a small mana battery, and only the limited mana his own body can regenerate.
An unpaid internship at Vantage Tower offers him a way into the corporate world.
But getting inside is only the beginning.
To rise through Vantage's ranks, Renn must turn every assignment into experience, every hard-won lesson into knowledge, and every connection into influence.
Along the way he will build friendships, discover unexpected allies, make dangerous enemies, and slowly uncover the secrets hidden inside the corporations that control the world's mana economy.
Every promotion creates new opportunities.
Every city reveals another layer of the Mana Empire.
And every step upward comes with a higher price.
Corporate Progression Fantasy
I've always enjoyed progression fantasy because readers get to experience genuine growth alongside the protagonist.
Mana Empire brings that same progression into an entirely modern setting.
Instead of adventurer guilds, there are multinational mana corporations.
Instead of kingdoms, there are competing corporate empires.
Instead of magical academies, there are internships.
Instead of dungeon loot, there are promotions, knowledge, influence, and opportunities.
Success isn't measured only by power.
It's measured by the relationships you build, the reputation you earn, and the decisions you make when climbing becomes more important than staying true to yourself.
The First Four Covers
I'm really pleased with how the visual identity of the series is coming together.
Each cover follows Renn from behind as he faces another stage of his climb through the Mana Empire.
Mana Intern introduces Dray and the intimidating skyline powered by human mana.
Mana Contract moves inside the endless offices of Vantage Tower, where corporate politics become just as dangerous as mana itself.
Mana Rival raises the stakes as ambition turns colleagues into competitors.
Mana Sabotage hints at the darker forces working behind the polished glass towers of Dray.
Together they establish the visual language I want readers to immediately recognise as Mana Empire.
This Is Only the Beginning
Mana Empire has always been planned as a long-running progression fantasy series.
There are more corporations to explore.
More cities waiting beyond Dray.
More rivals to overcome.
More allies to discover.
And far darker truths hidden inside the system that powers civilization.
Because when human energy becomes the world's most valuable resource, one question becomes impossible to ignore:
How far will those at the top go to keep climbing?
I can't wait to share more of Renn's journey in the months ahead.
Welcome to the Mana Empire.
